Lt. Chittick Weds Danish Girl
Lt.
Arden B. Chtitick, USMC, claimed Miss Nina Sorensen as his
bride in ceremonies in Grondals Kirken at Copenhagen, Denmark,
May 14.
Mr. and Mrs. H.B. Chittick of Manchester will host a reception
in honor of their son and daughter-in-law tonight at 8 o'clock
in Colby Methodist Church.
The new Mrs. Chittick is daighter or Mr. and Mrs. Anker Sorensen
of Copenhagen.
For her wedding the bride chose a gown of lace over silk.
The material was made in Switzerland. It was fashioned with
scoop neckline and long tapered sleeves. Her short veil fell
from a coronet of lace. The bridal bouquet was composed of
red roses and lilies of the valley centered with a white orchid.
Best man for Lieutenant Chittick was his brother, Eldon.
For the dinner following the wedding, the bride's mother
wore a gown of cocoa lace.
Lieutenant Chittick is a graduate of South Kitsap high school,
and attended College of Puget Sound before entering the navy
flight school in 1956.
He will be leaving June 20 for duty in Japan. Mrs. Chittick
will make her home in Bremerton for the present.
Mrs. Chittick was educated in Copenhagen and London, and
until her marriage was a stewardess for Pan American airlines.
For tonight's reception she will wear a white silk sheath
topped with a short jacket from Hong Kong. Pouring will be
Mrs. R.M. Tripp and Mrs. J. R. Chittick of Wenatchee.
